If you become a Grand Rapids window tinting client, our authorized installation professionals will arrange a time to complete your window film installation. Most window films are designed for application on the inside of glass.
After placing drop cloths on the floor and protecting or moving furnishings as needed, our installation team will prepare the window surface for the application of the film. Simple cleaning solutions, such as water and ammonia, ensure that the glass is polished. If necessary, razor blade scrapers will be used to remove stickers or debris. The goal is to have the glass as clean and flawless as possible.
The window film is then sprayed with a slip solution of detergent and water before it is positioned on the glass. This takes skill! With expert technique using a professional grade squeegee, the installer removes excess water, smooth’s out the film, and trims the edges.
Application time varies depending on the size and shape of the windows.
